Jobcod operates jobcod.com and the Jobcod app. This policy explains how we handle personal data of job seekers, employers, recruiters, company team members, visitors and people who contact us. We process data in line with applicable law, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and, for users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR.

First and last name, email address, phone number with country code, password (stored only in protected, hashed form), sign-in method including Google account name and photo when you use Google sign-in, role, location, preferred language, avatar or passport photo, headline, About text, skills, experience, education, industry, salary expectations, job preferences and visibility settings.

CV versions, templates, design settings and exported files; uploaded documents such as certificates, licences, passports, visas or company trade licences; job applications, cover notes, interview schedules, assessment notes, offers and decisions; saved jobs and searches.

Identity and visa documents can be sensitive. Upload them only when needed. They are stored in private, access-controlled storage and are visible only to you, the companies you apply to where you choose to share them, and authorised Jobcod staff for verification or safety reviews.

Company name, logo, industry, size, website, registration and trade licence details, verification documents and status, team members and roles, job posts and drafts, talent searches, reviews replies and billing contacts.

Messages, attachments and read status in JobCod Chat between candidates, employers, recruiters and support; chatbot conversations; support tickets; contact form submissions; and staff internal notes. Messages are screened to help prevent sharing of contact details and scams.

Plan, invoices, billing history, billing address and tax details. Card details are collected and processed by our payment provider; Jobcod does not store full card numbers or security codes.

IP address, device and browser type, app installation status, push notification tokens, pages viewed, searches, clicks, crash and performance data, and cookies or similar storage. With your permission we use device location to detect your city; you can deny or revoke it at any time and set your location manually.

To create and secure accounts; show and recommend relevant jobs and candidates; enable applications, interviews, offers and messaging; build and export CVs; verify employers and documents; moderate reviews and reports; prevent fraud, scams and abuse; process payments and invoices; send account emails, sign-in codes, notifications and push messages; provide support; meet legal obligations; and analyse and improve Jobcod.

Our legal bases include performing our contract with you, your consent (for example location, push notifications and optional analytics), our legitimate interests in running a safe, effective platform, and compliance with legal obligations.

AI features may process the text you provide to suggest CV content, About sections, job descriptions or job matches. Match scores and recommendations help rank results but do not make hiring decisions; employers remain responsible for decisions. We do not use your private documents to train public AI models.

Employers and recruiters you apply to or whose talent searches you appear in, according to your visibility settings; other chat participants; Jobcod staff with a role-based need; service providers for hosting, storage, email, push notifications, analytics, AI processing and payments under contractual confidentiality and security obligations; professional advisers; and authorities where required by law or to protect safety.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your contact details with employers outside the hiring features you use.

Jobcod serves users globally and our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections and transfer to jurisdictions with adequate protection.

We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls, row-level database permissions, private document storage, audit records for sensitive admin actions, and monitoring. No system is completely secure; protect your password and tell us immediately about suspected misuse.

We keep account data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise profile data, CVs and documents within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer, such as invoices and tax records (generally 5 years), fraud and safety records, or data needed for legal claims. Employers may retain applications they received under their own legal duties.

Depending on your location, you may access, correct, export, restrict, object to or delete your data and withdraw consent. You can edit your profile, control visibility, manage notifications, revoke location and push permissions, and delete CVs and documents in settings.

Send requests to privacy@jobcod.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Jobcod is not intended for people under 18 or below the legal working age. We delete accounts we learn belong to underage users.
