Terms of Service

The agreement that governs access to Jobcod's job search, hiring, CV, chat, billing and career services for candidates, employers, recruiters and visitors worldwide.

Effective 1 September 2026·Reviewed 28 October 2026
1

About these terms

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Jobcod when you browse jobcod.com, install the Jobcod app, create an account or use any Jobcod service. By using Jobcod you confirm that you have read and accept these terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and any role-specific agreement that applies to you (the Job Seeker Agreement or the Employer Agreement).

If you use Jobcod on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company, and 'you' includes that organisation.

2

What Jobcod provides

Jobcod is a UAE-first, globally available careers platform. It offers job discovery and advanced search, saved jobs, AI job matching, a CV builder with templates and PDF/Word exports, candidate document storage, applications and interview scheduling, offers, employer and recruiter workspaces, talent search, company profiles, reviews and ratings, JobCod Chat and support, notifications, and paid subscriptions.

Jobcod is a technology platform that connects people and organisations. Unless agreed in a separate written contract, Jobcod is not the employer, recruitment agency or representative of any candidate or company, does not guarantee interviews, offers, hires or candidates, and is not a party to any employment relationship formed through the platform.

3

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum legal working age in your country if higher, and legally able to enter into contracts. Employer and recruiter accounts must belong to a genuine, lawfully registered organisation.

You must provide accurate first and last names, a valid email address and phone number with the correct country code, and keep them current. Accounts are personal: do not share passwords, sign-in codes or recovery links, and do not create accounts for others without authorisation.

You can sign in with email and password, a six-digit email code or Google sign-in. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must tell us promptly at support@jobcod.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4

Roles and permissions

Jobcod provides different roles, including job seeker, employer, employer admin, recruiter and Jobcod staff roles. Each role only sees and does what it is permitted to. Company access is granted only through verified company membership assigned by the company or by Jobcod administrators, never by simply choosing a role.

Jobcod may change a user's role, link or unlink a company, or require re-verification where needed for security, compliance or accuracy. Role changes take effect at your next sign-in.

5

Acceptable use

You agree to use Jobcod only for lawful, genuine employment and career purposes. You must not: post fake, misleading or already-filled jobs; request money from candidates; impersonate people or companies; scrape, harvest or bulk-export data; send spam or unsolicited marketing; share contact details to move candidates off-platform in breach of our contact safeguards; upload malware; attempt to bypass security, verification or usage limits; or use automated tools to apply, message or create accounts.

You must not post discriminatory content or make hiring decisions on grounds prohibited by applicable law, including race, colour, religion, sex, nationality, ethnic origin, disability or age, except where a lawful exemption applies.

6

Jobs, applications and hiring decisions

Employers are solely responsible for their listings, selection processes, offers, contracts, visas, salaries and compliance with labour, immigration and tax laws, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 on employment relations where applicable. Candidates are responsible for the truth of their profiles, CVs, documents and eligibility.

Job posts from unverified employers are submitted for review and are not publicly listed until the employer is verified and the post is approved. Jobcod may moderate, edit for formatting, reject, unpublish or remove any content that breaches these terms.

7

Your content and licence

You keep ownership of your CVs, documents, photos, messages, reviews and job descriptions. You grant Jobcod a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to show it to the audiences you choose.

You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or contain unlawful material.

8

AI-assisted features

Jobcod offers AI tools for writing About sections, CV content, job descriptions and matching. AI output is a suggestion that may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review and edit it before saving, applying or publishing; you remain responsible for anything you submit.

9

Reviews, ratings and reports

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience and must not include personal data, threats or false statements. Employers may reply publicly. Jobcod moderates reviews and reports and may decline to publish, hide or remove content, but does not verify every statement and is not responsible for user opinions.

10

Subscriptions, payments and taxes

Paid plans, featured listings, support plans and credits are described with their price, billing period and limits before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before renewal. Prices may exclude applicable VAT or taxes, which will be shown at checkout and on your invoice.

Refunds are handled under the Refund Policy. If a payment fails, paid features may be paused until payment is completed.

11

Intellectual property

The Jobcod name, logo, designs, CV templates, software, job title and industry catalogues and other platform materials belong to Jobcod or its licensors. You may use them only through the service for your personal or internal hiring purposes and may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or create competing products from them.

12

Availability and changes

We work to keep Jobcod available, fast and secure on web and mobile, but the service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. Maintenance, third-party outages, connectivity or device settings may affect access, notifications or installation. We may add, change or retire features and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

13

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from settings or by contacting support. Jobcod may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate accounts, companies or listings for breaches of these terms, fraud risk, failed verification, non-payment, legal requirements or harm to other users. Company suspension may also unpublish its jobs and suspend its members.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including licences already granted for retained records, payment obligations, liability limits and dispute terms, continue to apply.

14

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Jobcod is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost earnings or profits, hiring outcomes, or the acts, content and decisions of other users. Jobcod's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Jobcod in the twelve months before the claim, or AED 500 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You agree to indemnify Jobcod against claims arising from your content, your hiring or job-seeking conduct, or your breach of these terms or the law.

15

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Please contact support@jobcod.com first so we can try to resolve concerns informally within 30 days; unresolved disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai unless local law requires otherwise.

16

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page or to support@jobcod.com. We may update these terms; the effective and reviewed dates below show the latest version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
